With 16-days in Conference USA, MTSU Athletic Director Chris Massaro spoke to the Murfreesboro Rotary Club and shared how the change will not only have a major effect on the university, but on the community as well.

He noted that Conference USA demands more positive attention for the school. He said that demands more nationwide television coverage and the city as well as school benefit greatly.

Massaro was noticebly proud of the student athletes. He said, "Historically one of the sports that has the most difficulty is men's basketball. Usually only half of the team makes it through graduation. I'm proud to say that our last 27 team athletes in a row graduated. So we're able to put a diploma in one hand and a championship ring on the other."
