Congressman Scott DesJarlais Visits WGNS for the First Time Ever on Tuesday

United States Congressman Scott DesJarlais made his first ever visit to WGNS studios on Tuesday afternoon. While on his visit the Congressman sat down for an interview with WGNS to discuss his upcoming 4th Congressional District campaign which will officially kick off today in Wicnchester. The campaign kickoff will come exactly one year before the Republican Primary is set to take place. In his interview with WGNS on Tuesday, Congressman DesJarlias spoke about some of his key campaign points for the upcoming election.

Congressman DesJarlais is facing some tough competition in the upcoming Primary from local lawmakers including State Senator Jim Tracy and State Representative Joe Carr.

Among other topics, DesJarlais talked about his limited visits to Rutherford County, President Barack Obama's visit to Chatanooga, and an immigartion bill that was recently approved by the U.S. senate. The education and Workforce Committee member also gave high praise for a student loan bill that passed in the House not long ago.
