We're only two weeks away from a free 2:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon concert on September 8th with the Tennessee Valley Winds.  Bring your lawn chair to the Stones River Greenway's trailhead at the end of Cason Trail.

Mr. Erich Zimmerman is currently in his twenty-third year as a music educator in Middle Tennessee. He began his teaching career in Sumner County, then transferred to Davidson County for a decade, before moving to Rutherford County where he is currently the music director at Thurman Francis Arts Academy.

The Tennessee Valley Winds is a non-profit, all volunteer, self-supporting community band that has been providing quality musical performances since 1984.

Zimmerman notes that the community band experience is unlike school or professional groups. Rarely do amateurs and professionals, young and old, get to work together. The opportunity to learn and grow is unique.

The Sunday afternoon free perforance is being presented in association with The Friends of the Greenway and Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department.
