BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE: Fashion Show to Help Murfreesboro Schools on Thursday

The 6th Annual Murfreesboro City Schools Fashion Show will be this Thursday night at the Stones River Country Club (5:30pm - 7:30pm). The show is presented by The City Schools Foundation.

WGNS was told that the show has been invigorated to include a host of fashions for men and women, an enhanced runway show, new seating options and an upbeat event for men and women to enjoy.  The fashion show will highlight a variety of fashions from several clothiers ranging in price and styles including fall fashions from e.Allen, Altar’d States, Coldwater Creek, Belk, The Loft, Trendy Pieces, Penny’s Closet, Jos A Bank, Bella’s Boutique, Chico’s and Francescas’s Closet.  

Fashions will be modeled by an array of community supporters including Dr. Tammy Grizzard, Lindsay Cole, Beth Miller, Jenny Ortiz, Shannon Minner, Sara Svarda, Sayward Ratliff, Meagan Flippin, Kalpana Gowda, Mary Francis, Rep. Dawn White, Cathy Ownby, Lindsey Fournier, Shavon Davis-Louis, Jim Bjork, Andrew McKnight, Chick Knitter, Pat Ryan, Dr. Joe Faiz and Micky Brooks. 

Foundation and Fashions is sponsored by Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital, U Medi Spa, The Avenue Murfreesboro, Dr. Ronald Nelson – Stones River Dermatology, David B. LaRoche, Attorney at Law, GOCO Center for Aesthetics, Tarola Plastic Surgery, FirstBank, City Tile and Floor Covering, VIP Murfreesboro, Stones River Total Beverages and Revolution Chiropractic.  

Serving as emcees for the event are Ian Reitz, WSMV News and Liz McPhee, First Lady of MTSU.

Money raised by The City Schools Foundation benefits Murfreesboro City Schools’ pre- Kindergarten through 6th grade students. The Foundation’s goals are to boost the school system’s financial support in the areas of science and math, academic competition and excellence among students, and to address financial parity in all schools.
