Kittrell School Reunion Huge Success

The Kittrell High School Graduating Class of 1963 celebrated its 50th on Saturday, Septrmnrt 19th, at the annual school reunion.
 
Held in the Kittrell Elementary School, the day drew approximately 200 graduates, beginning with their oldest, Elizabeth McElroy Barrett, who will be 100 on October 19, of the Class of 1931.  All classes were recognized with the 1963 Class having the largest number present. Former teachers present included Mrs. Nancy McNabb, Mrs. Oma McNabb, Steve Cates, Ben Cates, Bob Burden, and Darwin Milligan.  Judy Smith Messick won the award for the graduate coming  the longest distance ( Florida).
 
The reunion is held each year on the third Saturday in Sept. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kittrell Elementary School.   All persons interested are cordially invited.

Honored as the oldest living graduate of Kittrell School at the annual school reunion on Sat., Sept. 19, was Mrs. Elizabeth McElroy Barrett, of the Class of 1931. She will be 100 on October 19th. LEFT PHOTO Pictured with her are her two daughters, also graduates of Kittrell, Mina Barrett Parker ( left) and Mary Ann Barrett Richardson (right). Mrs. Barrett is a native of the Porterfield Community of Cannon Co. and currently lives in Murfreesboro.
 
Memories were shared by class members. Scrap books, Kittrell School memorabilia along with old trophies, yearbooks and more brought wonderful memories to all who attended. The get together was made even better when Jerry Robinson, from the class of '63, provided lunch from the Slick Pig.
