District 7AAA Semifinals Complete

The Blackman girls raced out to an early lead and never looked back, defeating Smyrna 71-48. Alex Johnson had 21 for the Lady Blaze. Crystal Dangerfield added 15 and Meme Jackson 10. Smyrna was led by Treasure Hunt's 14 points.

The Oakland boys missed a tying three-pointer as time expired and Blackman won 44-41. A Ced Wilson dunk around two-minutes left in the game gave the Blaze momentum. Blackman was led by Isaiah Hart's 18 points. Ced Wilson had 14. Oakland's Ricky Dunnaway had 15.

The Oakland-Riverdale girls game was a war, with the Lady Pats coming out on top 57-52. Oakland's Abby Wright had 17 points and Shelby Gibson 13. Paris Lawson had 12. Riverdale was led by Alexis Whittington's 22 points. Jasmyne Hurd added 11.

The Siegel boys, trailing by one after the first half, outscored Stewarts Creek 24-to-8 in the third to win 72-57. The Stars' Deante Miller had 20-points, D.J. McGee had 14 while Brian Normand added 13. T.J. York led the Red Hawks with 13-points.

The championship and consolation games are now set. On Monday at 6, it's Riverdale vs. Smyrna girls for third place. The championship game will feature Blackman and Oakland at 7:30.

On Tuesday, it's boys night. Stewarts Creek will battle Oakland at 6 in the consolation game followed by Blackman and Siegel in the championship game at 7:30.
