During the broadcast, Murfreesboro Police Chief Glenn Chrisman was presented one of only four "Good Neighbor Awards" to thank him for his 40-years of service to Murfreesboro and Rutherford County. It was a very emotional moment for both Glenn and Bart.
His first year was with the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office, and the next 39-years were with the Murfreesboro Police Department. In fact, Glenn celebrated his 39th anniversary with MPD Tuesday, December 1, 2015.
Glenn had been invited to be the Grand Marshal of the Murfreesboro Christmas Parade at 2:30PM on Sunday, December 13, 2015. During the broadcast, he accepted.
WGNS' Bart Walker noted, "We asked Glenn awhile back to consider being the Grand Marshal, but knowing he was a very humble person--we told him to take his time in making a decision. We are so excited that he agree, and look forward to honoring Glenn in this year's parade."
