A big change in the weather has blown through Rutherford County and Middle Tennessee. It was the storm before the change that has people talking. A severe thunderstorm Tuesday dropped large hail over eastern parts of the county. We have several listener submitted photos on WGNSRadio.com. A trained spotter for the National Weather Service reported 2-and-ah-half inch hail, or tennis ball sized hail, in the Barfield area. There were several reports of hail from pea, dime, nickle and golf-ball sized. Again, check WGNSRadio.com, keyword hail, to view pictures.

And then, within seconds after the storm--the sun came out and the historic downtown district was arched with a beautiful rainbow.
