Dr. Linda Gilbert, the director of the Murfreesboro City Schools has received high marks from the Murfreesboro School Board. As a result of her rankings, her contract with the city schools has been extended another four years. Dr. Gilbert was on the WGNS Action Line Monday with host Bart Walker and told listeners that she was very proud of the teachers within our city school system. Dr. Gilbert’s pay will increase with her new contract from $103-thousand dollars to $110-thousand dollars annually. The new contract expires in 2016. The new agreement was reached on Tuesday.
