Occupy Murfreesboro will move forward with plans to hold an event in front of the Rutherford County Courthouse on Friday at 11 in the morning. The group is planning a parade or a march down East Main Street at 1:30 on Friday. Occupy Murfreesboro has obtained the proper permits from the city of Murfreesboro for the walk to take place. No word yet on how many people will be involved in the walk, but the goal of the group is to walk past Bank of America and SunTrust Bank. According to the groups FaceBook page, they are encouraging individuals to close their bank accounts and open new accounts at community credit unions. The walk on Friday is said to be a family friendly event and children are welcome to participate.
