The preliminary autopsy of a Manchester man found dead after missing for two weeks was inconclusive. Bedford County Sheriff Randal Boyce stated Tuesday afternoon that investigators are going to proceed as if it was foul play in the death of Jimmy Olmstead, 59, whose body was found last Sunday some 500 yards from a pond where he had been fishing off of Coop Road in the Bell Buckle area. According to the sheriff, the state medical examiners office didnt find any kind of wound on the body during their examination and autopsy. The sheriff said that state medical personnel will conduct more test in the coming days to determine what if anything might be found in a toxicology test. Olmsteads body was found in a wooded area by deer hunters who were alerted by the mans poodle barking and finally leading them to his body, where his other two dogs were still with his body.
