Project Tango, the code name for the Amazon distribution center coming to Rutherford County, was the major focus of the November 3rd meeting of the Murfreesboro City Council.  The City Engineer took a moment to address the sheer bulk of materials that will be involved, and give a projected timeline for construction. Fire hydrants will now be color coded according to their capacity to pump water, from red for the lowest, to light blue for the most powerful, and council voted for all city employees to receive $50 grocery cards this year at Christmas as a thank you for a job well done throughout the year.  Additionally, in an effort to save paper and money and to help enhance transparency in city government, the Murfreesboro City Council has joined the growing number of cities across the nation set to soon produce paperless or electronic agendas, and this week's meeting shows just what a good idea that is, as the total agenda packet weighed in at 77 pages.
