The Boro Dash on Thanksgiving Day

With final preparations underway for Borodash 2011, one key component of ensuring a successful event has recently been taken care of. Following up on its sponsorship of the inaugural Borodash race last year in which more than 1,600 runners took part in the first ever Thanksgiving Day race in Murfreesboro, Reeves-Sain has joined Borodash as the presenting sponsor for this year’s race.

“We are so excited to have the support of Reeves-Sain,” said Staci McCreary, Director of Borodash. “We could never carry out the mission of our race without the support and assistance from all of our sponsors. Thanks to the incredible presenting sponsorship by Reeves-Sain, Borodash can continue to provide Rutherford County a well-organized Thanksgiving Day race.”

According to Shane Reeves, co-owner of Reeves-Sain, supporting Borodash is very much in line with the company’s mission statement and core commitment.

“Reeves-Sain exists to provide for the health and general welfare of local residents,” Reeves explained. “Borodash has created an event that encourages entire families to come together to the benefit of their health and of the community. This sponsorship of Borodash presents an ideal opportunity for our company to support those efforts.”

One way that Reeves-Sain is supporting Borodash financially is through the company’s flu vaccine program. Reeves explained that anyone obtaining a flu shot from Reeves-Sain has the opportunity to direct a portion of the cost towards one of four local charities, Borodash included.

“The amount of financial support through this effort is entirely up to the public,” Reeves said. “Through our immunization program, helping keep our customers in good health also boosts the health of four local organizations. Every customer who gets a flu vaccine now also has the opportunity to help Borodash continue to grow in its effort to impact the local community.”
