A 48-year old Murfreesboro man was arrested last week for leaving the scene of an accident while intoxicated. 48-year old James Smith told police he left the scene of the wreck to walk to the liquor store to grab one more drink before he had to go to jail. The wreck was an injury accident where two people had to be transported to the hospital. The crash occurred on Broad Street at Florence Road between Murfreesboro and Smyrna. Smith was charged with not only DUI, but also with reckless endangerment and driving on a revoked license for the second time. Smith will appear in court on February 2nd.
