Impersonating an Officer

Someone is impersonating a police officer in Murfreesboro and the real police are searching for clues to make an arrest. Murfreesboro Police were summoned to an address on Tulane Court where they met with a resident who told officers he was standing outside smoking when a white male pulled up in a four door car and told him he was a police officer. The culprit then showed the resident a gold badge and told him he needed to search his home. The resident told police he went inside his home, locked his door and called 9-1-1. The victim told police that the man who claimed to be an officer of the law fled the scene when he locked his door. The subject was said to have an athletic build and stand at about 5’10”. The incident was reported on Tuesday morning around 1:30.
