Full steam ahead for "Project Tango" at the November 17th meeting of the Murfreesboro City Council.  City Manager Lyons urged council to sign off on an agreement with US Real Estate LP, stating that the city would provide certain infrastructure improvements on the 87 acre site in order for construction to proceed.  That agreement was passed, and the project moves forward as planned.  The Airport Commission updated their Annual Airport Maintenance Agreement, which will include the trimming and removal of trees around Runway 36, as well as repaving a majority of the asphalt along the runways and taxiways, and the City Engineer sought approval for six more traffic lights to soon go up along Medical Center Parkway.  The Murfreesboro Symphony Orchestra will hang a banner across East Main Street advertising their "Sounds of Christmas" program, on December 15th, and Ms. Kory Wells announced Read to Succeed's One Book selection for 2011; "The Hunger Games", by Suzanne Collins.  A Certificate of Compliance was granted to Georgetown Wine & Spirits located at 1720 West Northfield Boulevard, and a public hearing was held after which amendments to the Zoning Ordinance regarding building height were passed, that set a maximum height of 45 feet for buildings in the RM-12 and RM-16 Districts. Also, 2 public hearings were scheduled; the first to rezone an area along SE Broad Street and Joe B. Jackson Parkway, and the second to rezone a property on Maney Avenue.  Those hearings have been scheduled for December 15th.  Finally, the Transportation Director recommended enhancements to Bradyville Pike from SE Broad Street to South Rutherford Boulevard, including widening from 2 to 3 lanes, and the addition of gutters, sidewalks, bike lanes, and transit shelters, as well as extension of the Stones River Greenway from Old Fort Park to Barfield Park.
