A resident in the area of Brinkley Road on Tradewinds Trail called police after an unknown man tried to force his way into her house. The victim told officers the man first knocked on her front door and after she refused to answer the door, he jumped over her rear privacy fence. After jumping the fence into the backyard the subject tried to kick open the rear door to the home. The man stopped kicking and fled the scene when he saw the victim inside the house. The resident called 9-1-1 and police arrived within minutes. The would be intruder got away empty handed.
