Strong BLACK FRIDAY in the 'Boro!

Black Friday proved very successful for Murfreesboro retailers. The usual lines of shoppers camped out waiting for stores to open. WGNS News checked parking lots at K-Mart on Broad, along with the Avenue of Murfreesboro, Stones River Mall, Target and other popular locations--all were packed in the pre-sunrise hours on Friday.

Thank goodness, Murfreesboro Police did not have any reports of major problems with 'Boro shoppers. That was not the case on the west coast. Authorities say at least 10 people suffered minor injuries inside a crowded Walmart store in Los Angeles after a female shopper used pepper spray during a confrontation.
