Thanksgiving morning's heavy fog did not reduce the number of runners who participated in the annual Boro Dash. Approximately 2,500 runners braved low visibility and cold temperatures to take advantage. The race took participants through the historic district of Murfreesboro, including the square.
Organizer Brian Holloway commented, "On a day we all have so much to be thankful for – THANK YOU for a wonderful 2nd annual Borodash! Together, we have put our footprints on our community and our world."
The mission statement for the run explains it all: Our mission is to bring glory to God by raising money for charitable purposes and to provide our community a well-organized Thanksgiving Day family event – a 4-mile walk/run through historic Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
WGNS salutes all of those who helped to make the 2011 BoroDash a huge success!
