A 31 year old woman struck by a car on Lebanon Pike near Cherry Lane was transported to the hospital this past Sunday around 4 in the afternoon. After she was struck in the leg, the vehicle fled the scene.
The victim told police that she was walking on the shoulder on the proper side for pedestrians when she saw the dark red Nissan sedan drift into the shoulder. The woman said that she tried to get out of the way as the driver slammed on the brakes. However, the car slid into her leg.
So far, the car has not been located and no arrests have been made.
