City Construction Projects
Maney Avenue Street Improvement Project (between SE Broad Street and College Street)
Expected Road Closures: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:00 PM: Road construction work continues along Maney Avenue between E Castle St and E Vine Street. Traffic will be reduced to one lane and controlled by flagman. Access drives to the local residents and businesses will be kept open at all times.Motorists are advised to use Highland Ave and Academy Street travelling north/south and State Street and Main Street travelling east/west.
Lytle Creek Sewer Replacement Project (Woodmore Drive between Glaze Ct and Kirkwood Ave)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM: The contractor will be laying sewer pipe at the intersection of Woodmore Dr and Kirkwood Ave. Kirkwood Ave will be closed between Middle Tennessee Blvd and Tremont Drive. Traffic will be detoured onto Houston Drive and Tremont Drive. Driveway access to local residents will be kept open at all times.
Veterans Pkwy (New section between Barfield Road/Kimbro Road and Barfield Crescent Road)Expected Lane Closures: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM: The contractor will be paving a bypass lane on the south side of Barfield Crescent Road near Lone Oak Drive. There will be lane shifts and traffic interruptions. The construction of the bridge over Stones River continues. Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.
MTSU Phase 3 Project (Intersection of Greenland Drive at Wiles Ct)Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 2:00 PM: There will be minor lane closures on Greenland Drive at Wiles Court. Traffic signal and roadway work continues at the intersection.There will be minor traffic interruptions.Work continues, minor traffic interruptions.
Kingston Square Development (corner of Rutherford Blvd and Greenland Drive)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday - Friday, 9 AM to 2:00 PM: The contractor will be paving internal streets at the Kingston Square development. All paving will be onsite. There will be no lane closures or traffic interruptions on Rutherford Blvd.
Atmos Project (Vine Street between University Ave and Maney Ave)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday - Friday, 9 AM to 3:00 PM: The contractor for Atmos will be installing gas lines along Vine Street between University Ave and Maney Ave. There will be partial lane closures and traffic interruptions on Vine Street.
Annual City Street Paving Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Saturday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM: Citymilling and paving crews will working on the following subdivisions: Expect lane shifts and traffic interruptions during these operations.
