Traffic on U.S. Highway 41 or Manchester Highway was diverted near Fieldstone Drive after a stop by a Rutherford County Sheriff's Deputy.
Murfreesboro Police report an injury crash on Manchester Highway near Fieldstone Drive at 6:30am. We also learned a deputy's vehicle was involved.
The sheriff's department says the Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the incident in which one of their deputies was responding to a reckless driver call when the suspect hit him.
This caused some traffic backups around Whitworth Buchanan Middle School during morning drive.
