Rutherford County Schools has released information about upcoming parent information meetings for those interested in applying for one of the magnet schools or the Oakland High School International Baccalaureate program.

Evans says the application deadline for the magnet schools is January 31st. The priority application deadline for the Oakland I-B program is February 15th. More information about these programs is available on each school's websites.
- Thurman Francis Arts Academy will host a parent information night on Nov. 26 at 6 p.m.
- Central Magnet School will host its night on Nov. 29 at 6 p.m.
- McFadden School of Excellence's night will be Dec. 3 at 6 p.m.
- Oakland IB will be held Jan. 15 at 6 p.m.
