Sunday Carjacking in La Vergne

It was a beautiful sunny Sunday and police report that just before noon, two unidentified black males and 1 unidentified black female drove into the parking lot of La Vergne's Walmart at 5511 Murfreesboro Road.

La Vergne Police Sergeant Bob Hayes told NewsRadio WGNS, "One of the suspects exited the vehicle and approached the victim and displayed a handgun. The suspect then demanded her purse and keys to her vehicle. Suspect #1 and the female suspect then got into the victim's vehicle and fled the scene. The 3rd suspect followed in the RED Fusion."

The suspects were driving a 4-door red Ford Fusion vehicle has a broken and dangling passenger side mirror, and a broken passenger side tail light. The vehicle also has a sunroof; the tag information is unknown.

The stolen car was a powder blue Jeep Patriot. It has Tennessee license tag number M10-###. A decal on rear window says "USA BMX".

Sergeant Hayes described the three suspects:

Suspect #1 - Black male, possibly late teens too early to mid-twenties.

Suspect #2 - Black male, possibly late teens too early to mid-twenties.

Suspect #3 - Black female, possibly late teens too early to mid-twenties, dark skinned and thin build.

They are considered to be "Armed and Dangerous". If anyone recognizes these suspects or vehicle, please call the La Vergne Police Department at 615-793-7744 (Detective Crotts or Crime Stoppers at 615-893-STOP (7867).
