The Red Cross is definitely in need of blood, but External Communications Manager for Blood Tiffany Taylor told WGNS that a general e-mail describing an "emergency alert" for the Tennessee Valley Blood Services Region should be changed to "urgent need".

Taylor is attempting to determine who sent the January 10, 2019 e-mail that was referred to by WGNS. She said, "We are being questioned by individuals and other media about the reported Emergency Alert."
