UPDATE: Cannon County Accident - One Flown to Vanderbilt

CANNON COUNTY ACCIDENT:

A traffic crash in front of Woodland Elementary School this past week slowed vehicles for several hours. The two vehicle accident occurred on State Route 53 (Manchester Highway).

According to reports from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2010 Toyota Corolla drivien by Monica Edmonson, 51 of Bradyville, slowed to make a left turn into Woodland School.

A 2013 Ford F150 Pickup driven by 21 year old Bradyville resident Collin Anderson was traveling South on Highway 53 and failed to stop. The Ford Pickup collided with the rear end of the Toyota and overturned. The truck ran off the right side of the roadway near the elementary school building.

Both drivers and passengers were injured.

Edmonson and an 11 year old minor were transported by life flight helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center. Two other passengers in the Toyota, Elvira Beck, 72 and Calvin Edmonson, 30, both of Bradyville were transported by Emergency Medical Service to Saint Thomas-Rutherford in Murfreesboro.

No charges for Edmonson in the Toyota and charges are pending against Anderson in the Ford Truck.

Trooper Andrew Collier was the investigator of the crash. The crash scene was cleared before dismissal of the students at the end of the school day.
