(Smyrna, TN) The Smyrna Rotary Club continues plans to create an all-inclusive facility in the Lee Victory Park at 110 Sam Ridley Parkway East in Smyrna.

This will be an all-inclusive park that allows all ages with all levels of mobility to enjoy. It will have ADA compliant restrooms and concession stand, and will accommodate tricycles to wheelchairs.

Rotary President Beth Hackett said, "Our community meeting was definitely successful. We were so glad to have representatives from the Town of Smyrna, Rotary Club, and interested parties join together to review the playground renderings and learn more about this project."

Tami Phillips, owner of Miracle of KY & TN, a playground equipment and installation company, made a detailed presentation to the audience about the design and components.

County Commissioner and Smyrna Rotary member Robert Stevens commented, "Now that we have received some feedback, Rotary will consider it carefully and work to incorporate the ideas into our renderings to make the proposal even better. After Rotary's final rendering is developed, the club will begin a capital campaign to raise $600,000 for construction."

Approximately 90 persons attended a public meeting to learn about Rotary's proposal. NewsRadio WGNS will keep you informed.
