An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the indictment of a Piney Flats woman on voter fraud charges.
In October, at the request of 2nd District Attorney General Barry Staubus, TBI Special Agents began investigating allegations of voter fraud involving 70 year old Judy Guinn (DOB 10/26/48). During the course of the investigation, Agents determined that Guinn cast a ballot during early voting for the November general election despite being a convicted felon.
Last week, the Sullivan County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Guinn with one count of Illegal Voting. Today, she was arrested and booked into the Sullivan County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
