Domestic Violence Thursday Afternoon On Arnold Lane

(MURFREESBORO) At 3:45 Thursday (1/24/2019) afternoon, Murfreesboro Police received word of a domestic situation in the 100 block of Arnold Lane near Rutherford Boulevard.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the suspect's father who informed them his son, Andrew Tennyson was making threats inside the home with a loaded AR 15 rifle and refusing to come out.

Members of the Special Operations Unit were dispatched to the scene and set up a perimeter around the residence.

While officers were monitoring the situation, the 29-year old suspect stepped out the back door to smoke a cigarette, and that's when officers were able to take him into custody.

His weapon and drug paraphernalia were confiscated at the scene.

While being booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center, a small bag of marijuana was discovered inside a pack of cigarettes in his possession.

Andrew Tennyson was charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault ($15,000 bond), Simple Possession of Schedule VI ($2,000 bond), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia ($1,000 bond) and Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Facility ($5,000). His bond total was set at $23,000.
