Leaving your 8-year old child alone in your car while you sit in a bar and drink at 11:00 at night is not the wisest decision you could make. 38-Year old James Michael Lewis probably realized his mistake when a police officer showed up at the bar. Apparently, Lewis at first had his daughter in the bar with him while he drank. Lewis briefly left the bar to talk to a female outside the bar and that was when the bartender told Lewis that his daughter could not be left unattended in the bar. That was when Lewis took her to the car. He then returned to the bar to drink for another 45-minutes, according to an arrest report that was filed on Wednesday. As a result of the incident, Lewis was charged with public intoxication and reckless endangerment. The mother of the 8-year old was called to the scene to pick up the child.
