As the Murfreesboro Room In The Inn program celebrated a milestone a few weeks ago, it also faced the first month in 26-years to be in the red. Founder Christine Huddleston told WGNS . . .

With tears in her yes, she told WGNS' Action Line listeners about how many of the people who have been at Room In The Inn have turned their lives around. Many have earned a college education, and now live a successful life.

She said they serve 75 meals daily and last month alone, helped over 500 people.

Local Marine Helping Family

Huddleston told of a local Marine who just returned from Iraq. He is taking a mother and her four children to lunch and Christmas shopping.  That was just one of many stories that covered help to homeless persons as young as 3-days to those in their 90s.

She said, "People need guidance and someone to listen to their problems."
