MTSU Board of Trustees to hold Meetings on March 18th

The Middle Tennessee State University Board of Trustees announced that committee meetings will take place on Monday, March 18th. The meetings will focus on a variety of items including new academic degrees being considered and the financial impact of the Governors budget.

The first appointment of the day will be the Academic Affairs, Student Life and Athletics Committee meetings.

MTSU Officials confirmed that all meetings will be held in the Miller Education Center, Second Floor Meeting Room, 503 E. Bell St.

Meeting Details:

1.) Academic Affairs, Student Life, and Athletics Committee: 10 a.m. Agenda items include approval of minutes; recommendations concerning approval of policy revisions and promulgation of rules, academic program modifications and academic degrees under consideration; and, information concerning academic actions.

2.) Executive and Governance Committee: 11 a.m. Agenda items include approval of minutes; recommendations concerning the institutional mission statement and mission profile, guidelines regarding public comment, and the establishment of expense limit for spouse of the university president per the terms of the president's employment agreement.

3.) Finance and Personnel Committee: 1 p.m. Agenda items include approval of minutes; recommendations concerning approval of policy revisions and promulgation of rules, building naming, and the MTSU - Foundation agreement; and information concerning the Governor's budget and the University's Composite Financial Index.

Committee meeting start times are approximate; if one meeting or lunch finishes early, the following committee meeting may begin earlier than noted.
