Oakland High School students will compete in DECA's ICDC international Conference in Orlando, Fl in April after qualifying on the state level last week in Chattanooga.
DECA Inc, formerly Distributive Education Clubs of America, is a 501 not-for-profit career and technical student organization with more than 215,000 members in all 50 United States. The group has over 3,500 high school chapters. It was founded in 1946.
The students planned, organized, and practiced their business presentations for the competition. The conference is said to be a great honor for the students and Oakland High School.
