RutherfordCABLE, a three-year-old networking and professional development organization serving business professionals in Rutherford County, is launching a membership campaign with its first meeting of the New Year on Tuesday, January 10. The organization currently has 125 members.
“If you’re a business professional, male or female, working and doing business in Rutherford County, we invite you to learn more about RutherfordCABLE by joining us at our January meeting featuring Dale Smith Thomas,” said Brenda Fischer, RutherfordCABLE Board Meeting and Chair of the Membership Recruitment Committee. “To register, go to rutherfordcable.org and make an online reservation.”
The meeting will be held at Stones River Country Club and begins at 7:30 a.m. Guest reservations are $20 per person, which includes facilitated networking, a full breakfast and the speaker.
Keynoter Dale Smith Thomas will speak on “Choices Create Champions.” Smith Thomas will challenge the audience to “create championship results in every area of your life. Champions are described as remarkable people, warriors, heroes and winners. Champions are not magically blessed or dramatically different---they simply apply a different set of skills to their lives. We become champions in life when we decide to make different choices daily that the average person is not willing to make.”
Dale Smith Thomas has been a featured guest on many radio and television shows around the country. Born and raised in rural Mississippi, she speaks from her life history and the choices she made to teach real life lessons to each and every audience. Smith Thomas has been a special guest expert on The Dr. Phil Show, The Big Idea on CNBC, and on CMT, Vh1 and MTV, as well as a Fox Reality Show. Smith Thomas is the author of several books, including Solo in the Spotlight and empowerment CDs, including “Unleash Your Power” and “Keys to Creating Success in All Areas of Your Life.”
Fischer added, “As we are still a relatively new organization, there are still businesswomen in Rutherford County who don’t know what RutherfordCABLE is all about. As a chapter of NashvilleCABLE, we have been in existence since 2009 and have grown rapidly to 125 members. Our members benefit from building long-term relationships with each other, participating in facilitated networking at our monthly breakfast meetings and networking events, and also through our members-only list-servs. We have breakfast meetings with top speakers who not only benefit us in our business lives but also in our personal lives.”
Paula Mansfield, RutherfordCABLE President, said, “I am so excited about the energy and growth of RutherfordCABLE and want other business owners and leaders to see the value this organization offers based on our mission of connecting women and opportunity." "Why not start off 2012 with a new tool to grow your business and make new friends?” Fischer said. “RutherfordCABLE is just one more reason Rutherford County is a great place to live, work, and call home!”
