The Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network (TSPN) has announced the launch of the TSPN application on both Apple and Android platforms. The app features warning signs and local resources as well as opportunities get involved, request a suicide prevention training, take a depression screening, and so much more. Simply search 'TSPN' in your application platform to download the app. Executive Director, Scott Ridgway, MS, notes his hopes for the usefulness of the apps stating, "we now have Tennessee specific suicide prevention resources in everyone's hand. This free app will help save the lives of our Tennesseans."

Each day we lose three Tennesseans to suicide, now the ninth leading cause of death in Tennessee. As TSPN, its many volunteers, and the innumerable suicide prevention advocates across the state know, Tennessee is a national model with our efforts for suicide prevention.

If you or a loved one are having thoughts of suicide, please reach out to one of the many crisis resources including the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-TALK (8255)), Crisis Text Line (text 'TN' to 741741), or the State Crisis line (1-855-CRISIS-1).
