Within the next four to five years construction on Thompson Lane will likely be started by the state. Once started, the roadway will be widened.
Mayor Shane McFarland told WGNS that Cherry Lane continues to be discussed as a way to lessen the traffic flow on Thompson Lane.
In addition to Thompson Lane, McFarland recently talked about progress on Cason Lane to Veterans Parkway.
While the roadway is already in place, homes are currently being constructed and the road is not completely finished.
