Republican Greg Brooks formally announces his bid to become Rutherford County's next Road Superintendent. Greg is a second-generation road builder who has spent the past thirty years in the industry as co-owner and managing partner of B & M Asphalt and hopes to bring his common-sense approach to the county's road department. Greg and his wife Sandy own a 150-acre cattle farm in Christiana,  where they are raising their daughter and attend Southeast Baptist Church.

"I believe I will be a breath of fresh air to the Rutherford County political scene because I've never been a politician or bureaucrat. Instead, I've been a road construction businessman for over 30 years and my
conservative values and problem-solving experience will help Rutherford County create the best road system in the state.  I know how to work with federal, state and local regulations as well as create and stick to a budget
and effectively manage people", stated Road Superintendent Candidate, Greg Brooks.

As the Co-owner and Managing Partner of B&M Asphalt (Smyrna) and Co-owner and VP of B & M Paving Co. (Murfreesboro), Greg believes his vast experience in Asphalt Production, Site Planning, Civil Drawing Interpretation, Construction, Road Maintenance, Road Construction Equipment and Supervision of employees makes him the most qualified candidate for Rutherford County's new Road Superintendent. As a clear communicator and decisive delegator, Greg believes his professional skill set will help him properly manage the
900+ miles of Rutherford County roads, work with the County Commission and Mayor and properly communicate with the citizens of Rutherford County.

Greg Brooks also stated, "I¹ve been very fortunate to have had a successful career in the road construction business. I know Rutherford County like the back of my hand because we built the roads in dozens of neighborhoods and communities throughout the county. I want to use my knowledge and experience
to help our county's road system continue to improve because I know that good roads mean good jobs."

Greg's first campaign fundraiser will be held this Thursday, January 12th at the Lions Club building at historic Cannonsburgh in Murfreesboro at 5 pm.
