Coach Kenneth Shipp recently donated $20,000 of college scholarships to teen members of the Boys & Girls Club. Ten club members will receive $2,000 scholarships to attend MTSU in the fall. Each scholarship recipient must qualify for the Tennessee Lottery Education Scholarship, known as the Hope Scholarship.

“We are truly in awe of Coach Shipp’s tremendous generosity and his commitment to ensuring our most diligent high school club members have affordable access to the world class higher educational opportunities available at MTSU,” said Todd Bale, Chief Professional Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rutherford County. “He is a true friend to the clubs and a true champion of the community’s young people. He remains an inspiration for everyone involved with our organization.”

A graduate of MTSU, Coach Shipp has held several coaching positions in the NFL, including the New York Jets, St. Louis Rams, and New Orleans Saints, where he served as Quarterback Coach to Archie Manning.
