Murfreesboro Police responded to a store called "Dirt Cheap" on Mercury Boulevard July 12, 2019 in regards to an indecent exposure complaint. The complainant told officers they spotted a man standing in a tree line next to a silver Dodge truck pleasuring himself in public.

When officers arrived it was noted, "Upon my arrival I observed a white make later identified as Majdi Masarweh run to the driver side of his truck - jump in and take off towards Middle Tennessee Boulevard." After police caught up with the man, he told authorities that he was using the bathroom. The responding officer wrote, "I asked Mr. Masarweh if he had been pleasuring himself and at that point he grabbed his chest and stated that his heart hurt and needed an ambulance."

As police waited with the subject for an ambulance to arrive, they asked "several more times if he had been pleasuring himself." The report showed that the man responded, "No, I'm gay so I would not do that."

A woman who saw the subject told police that at first the man drove past her and the driver said, "Hey baby." The female said that after ignoring the man she saw that he backed his truck up towards a tree line in the parking lot and that she could see the man "masturbating." The woman quickly dialed 9-1-1.

The female who said she witnessed the incident was advised of the process to file a warrant for the 57 year old man. With the help of police, she filed the warrant with the Judicial Commissioners office in Rutherford County for indecent exposure.
