The Murfreesboro Parks and Rec Department hosted a community service day on July 27th.
Oaks Incorporated was on hand at Patterson Park to hand out free backpacks filled with school supplies. The day also included a basketball camp, thanks to the Pi Gamma Gamma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi.
First Baptist Church participated with a Back to School Bash that added free clothing for those in need.
