An 18-year old MTSU student almost became a statistic of a violent crime… The teen was walking out of her apartment and to her SUV at the Point apartments on North Tennessee Boulevard when an unknown male approached her from behind and informed her not to do anything stupid. The victim told police the man was armed with a kitchen knife. The victim’s roommate happened to come out of their apartment at the same time, distracting the culprit enough for her to break free and run to safety. The good news is that the female was not injured… The bad news is that the culprit has not been caught. The man is described as a white male, clean shaven, wearing jogging pants and a blue sweatshirt. The incident was reported at 9:30 in the evening. So far, no other similar incidents have been reported at the Point Apartments.
