Pastor Melvin Eugene Chatman, Sr., age 86, passed away Wednesday.
Mr. Chatman is survived by his wife, Laviter Chatman; children, Bobby Alexander
Chatman, Carol Merritt and Karl Chatman, Rachelle Brown, Tonya Hammonds and Aisha Miller Sandifer; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Thursday, at Second Missionary Baptist Church, Visitation 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm with Masonic Service beginning at 5:00 pm. Also, Thursday at
Beard's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Visitation 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
Friday, at Beard's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Lie in State will begin at 9:00am, Family Visitation beginning at 10:00 am with Funeral to follow at 11:00 am, Burial with full military honors at Mid Tn State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram at 2:00 pm. Services are in the care of
Nelson & Sons Chapel Murfreesboro.
