Friends and colleagues will join together to roast Former Representative John
Hood at the The City Schools Foundation 5th Annual Excellence in Education Gala. The gala
scheduled for Friday, February 10, 7:00 p.m. will be held at Stones River Country Club.
This year?s Hollywood style celebrity roast offers an enjoyable evening full of community spirit,
laughter and good will. Community roasters include Ed Barlow, Dan Whittle, Lana Seivers and Bob
Mifflin. Event Chair Andy Womack will emcee the evening?s activities.
Reservations for the 5th Annual Gala are now available including individual tickets at $250
and sponsorship tables of eight at $2,500. Through active support and participation, the gala has
grown significantly in size and stature, providing funding for teacher grants and parity dollars
benefiting the diverse population of students that comprise Murfreesboro City Schools.
Hosting the Premiere pre-party the night of the event are Foundation trustee Mrs. Elizabeth
McPhee and President Sidney McPhee at the MTSU President?s home. The pre-party is open to event
sponsors and their guests as well as guests who contribute an additional $50 towards the Foundation.
