MTSU's 9/11 Remembrance is a moving tribute to those who died or were injured in the events surrounding Sept. 11, 2001, in New York City (airplanes hit the World Trade Center's twin towers, resulting in thousands of casualties), Washington, D.C. (airplane crashes into the Pentagon, resulting in casualties) and Shanksvile, Pennsylvania (plane crashes into a field, resulting in casualties).
Speakers will be Mike Krause, Tennessee Higher Education executive director; Jennifer Vedral-Baron, VA Health System director and retired U.S. Navy captain; and Murfreesboro Mayor Shane McFarland.
A special announcement about a Sept. 11, 2020, concert in Murphy Center will conclude the program.
