Siegel High School Beta Club's leadership team recently competed with National Beta Club members from several states at the National Beta Club Regional Leadership Summit in Sevierville, Tennessee. Reports indicate that no other Rutherford County school was in attendance.
The Rutherford County School won three awards--Rapid Response Challenge, Lead Outside the Box, and Outstanding Leadership School. Siegel High now qualifies for the National Beta Club Convention in Fort Worth, Texas, in June.
One of the goals of the summit is for students to develop skills while working in groups to accomplish a collective goal. Judging criteria is based upon creativity, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and presentation skills.
