The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating an accident that took place on Wednesday afternoon around 2 in Rockvale, Tennessee.
Reports indicate a mid sized SUV and a full size SUV collided at the intersection of Highway 99 and Highway 269 (Jackson Ridge Road).
After the Jeep Liberty and Chevrolet Suburban collided, the Jeep ran off the road and into a field. The teen driver of the Jeep got out of the vehicle with only scrapes and bruises, but the condition of the person who was driving the other SUV has not yet been released by the Highway Patrol.
Evidently, the Jeep caught fire after coming to a stop against a fence, but the flames were doused upon the arrival of the Rutherford County Volunteer Fire Department.
WGNS will have more details later today.
