Murfreesboro Goodwill Store Receives Bomb Threat Monday

A bomb threat was called into the Goodwill office and store on South Church Street at Veterans Pkwy Monday afternoon around 1:15. Employees and customers were immediately cleared from the building until Murfreesboro Police were able to investigate and block the parking lot from arriving customers not privy to what was happening.

Shortly after 2PM, the all-clear was given at Goodwill. MPD Public Information Officer Larry Flowers told WGNS, "Explosive detection K9 Boomer and his handler Sgt. Mark Wood searched the Goodwill multiple times and found no explosives."

The Murfreesboro Police Criminal Investigation Division has been assigned the case in hopes of tracking down he person responsible for calling in the threat. Your information could be worth cash by calling CrimeStoppers at 615-893-STOP.
