(SMYRNA, TN) Rutherford County Delegation of state senators and representative and members of the Rutherford County Commission will host Speaker of the House Cameron Sexton (R, Crossville) and other local officials at a community meeting Wednesday evening, January 8, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00PM at the Smyrna Town Center, 100 Sam Ridley Parkway in Smyrna.
The goal is to provide open, productive dialogue and an exchange of ideas between elected officials at the state and local levels.
By hosting the event in a convenient community location, the delegation hopes they can make this a yearly traveling event around the county. The Smyrna Town Center is located at 100 Sam Ridley Parkway in Smyrna. The event will be open to the public.
The delegation includes Senators Shane Reeves (R-Murfreesboro) and Dawn White (R-Murfreesboro) and Representatives Charlie Baum (R-Murfreesboro), Tim Rudd (R-Murfreesboro), Mike Sparks (R-Smyrna), and Bryan Terry, MD (R-Murfreesboro). "As the voices of Rutherford County, not only is it important for us to take the voice of the people to the Capitol, it is important for us to bring government to the people," stated the delegation. "Having Speaker Sexton come to the county and hear directly from us and our local officials is a tremendous opportunity for our county."
