A threat at a Rutherford County School has been investigated and a student is now in custody, thanks to the fast work of educators, staff and School Resource Officers with the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office.
Evidently, the incident unfolded at Eagleville High School on Monday morning (2/3/2020). Schools spokesperson James Evans told WGNS NEWS...
"We had a ninth-grade student who made an inappropriate verbal comment this morning with a threat toward another student. It was reported to the school administration and they investigated immediately. The threat was deemed to be NOT credible, but the student is being disciplined severely for making an inappropriate comment and has been removed from campus. We do not tolerate this type of behavior. The principal also sent a message to all parents to keep them informed."
WGNS will have more on this story in newscast to come.
