ISO Ratings are number classifications assigned to fire departments across the state that rate the public's protection in the case of fires. The lower the rating, the better equipped and the faster a department can respond.
The Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue department currently has an ISO Rating of TWO, which is rare when you look at the 860 ISO-Classified Communities throughout Tennessee and quickly notice that only 6 departments have a rating of one. But, Fire Chief Mark Foulks is aiming for a "ONE" Classification...
The results of the most recent ISO inspection should be released by April. At that point, we will learn if Murfreesboro can receive the coveted number one classification.
